What is ABA?
ABA is an acronym that stands for Applied Behavior Analysis. "Because this approach applied behavior analysis (ABA) is largely based on behavior and its consequences, techniques generally involve teaching individuals more effective ways of behaving and working to change the social consequences of existing behavior. Treatment approaches based on ABA have been empirically shown to be effective in a wide variety of areas. However, because ABA was first applied to the treatment of individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism, this practice area has the largest evidence base and has received the most recognition" (BACB, 2022).
How many hours of ABA therapy does my loved one need?
The hours of ABA therapy is dependent on the needs of the individual receiving services and will be discussed further when partaking in intervention plan reviews with the clinical supervisor (BCBA).
What are the different methods of payment?
One can partake in either private pay or opt to use their insurance covering ABA therapy.
How long is the turn around time from the initial assessment to the start of services?
Unless there is a delay with insurance authorization, one can expect to receive therapy services two weeks following the initial assessment.
